Kingcreek’s Code of Ethics
 
1.  We will provide information on the characteristics and traits of your chosen breed to interested individuals.
2.    We will maintain a safe, clean and sanitary facility for all dogs, bitches and puppies.
3.    We will breed only for the purpose of improving the quality of the breed. We will try to conscientiously plan each litter of puppies for sale, selecting a stud dog and bitch to be mated based on their pedigrees, conformation and temperment.
4.    We will be knowledgeable about inherited health problems in our breed and will take appropriate measures on all breeding animals.
5.    We will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed, nor falsely advertise, or mislead any person regarding the performance of any
dogs or puppies for sale.
6.    We will not breed any male or female until they are both physically and mentally mature.  Also, we will not continue to breed any male or female
beyond an appropriate age for the breed.
7.    We will comply with all federal or provincial and local township laws and regulations concerning the keeping of dogs.
8.    Puppies offered for sale are to be registered, or have limited registration with the Canadian Kennel Club, or are crosses which cannot be registered.
9.    We will refrain from releasing any puppy until it is weaned, has teeth and is emotionally ready to leave mom.
10.  We will show discrimination in the sale of our puppies and be concerned with the type of homes in which they are placed. We will make buyers
aware of their responsibilities as dog owners. We will not sell or donate dogs to commercial dog wholesalers, dealers, brokers, retailers, pet shops or any other person or organization, for resale or "giveaway" to the public. We will not supply dogs or puppies for charity raffles or auctions. We will not supply
puppies or dogs to be trained or used for dog fighting.
11.  We will keep accurate records and retain those records. These records will include: stud service contracts, pedigrees, and all dogs/puppies sold.
12.  We are not a broker, dealer, puppy mill or wholesaler. We will not acquire puppies from others for the purpose of resell. We will not sell puppies to
pet shops or other retailers.
13.  At time of sale, if appropriate, we will provide the buyer the following:
•  A signed contract denoting the proper CKC Registration Certificate.
•  Health record and four year health guarantee against genetics.
•  Basic diet and care information.
•  The time frame during which the puppy or dog may be examined by a licensed veterinarian, at the buyer's expense, and, upon written recommendation of the veterinarian for specific reasons, the puppy or dog may be returned to the seller for a full refund of all monies paid less the deposit and any expenses. 
14.    We will not deliberately degrade any responsible breeder, fancier, their dogs, or their kennel.
15.    We agree to be a resource for buyers of puppies or older dogs that we have sold, for the life of the dog. We also contractually agree to take the dog
back if, the owner's conditions change, and the owner can not or will not provide proper care of the dog. This requirement remains in effect for the
entire life of the dog.
16.  Kingcreek's goal is to place happy puppies with responsible, caring and happy homes.  Because we love our puppies and will do everything in our
power to do so.
